Description.

The Cardiac Science powerheart G5 fully automatic AED is a rubust and user friendly defibrillator. Due to the CPR feedback can the AED be used by both professionals and lay responders. It only needs one push on the button to open the AED en it will start directly. The electrodes are placed behind the lid, the as standerd included electrodes are for use on adults only. The electrodes for pediatric resuscitation are not included. The CPR feedback of the Powerheart G5 is a great help to make the resuscitation successful. The AED gives feedback about the depth and rate of the chest compressions allowing the helper to improve the rescucatition. Besides, the AED gives spoken instructions that will be supported by images on the LCD display and the device has a CPR metronome. 

The G5 has as additional function that the AED adjusts the power release stepwise. It also assesses the therapy need and thus offers a customized shock with the right energy level. The Rescue Ready indicator indicates wether the AED is ready to use, this is clealy visible from a distance. In addition, the AED checks daily, weekly and monthly all important elements for possible malfunctions, these test details can easily be transfered via a USB and being watched.
