The Spark Tech Lab (STL) is an engineering studio whose objective is to enthuse primary and secondary school students about technology and introduce them to technical companies in the region in order to encourage them to choose a technical education and career. The workshop has experienced tutors and a large arsenal of tools.
Where did the idea for purchasing an AED come from?
The STL runs entirely on the organization's 24 volunteers. The age of these volunteers is between 65 and 80. "A risk group" as owner Jack Peeters himself agrees. After they took a BHV course with the organization, the urgency of an AED device came up again and in the context of good entrepreneurship, STL started looking into this. "The volunteers in particular, but also the number of children and supervisors who come here, ultimately ensured that I had little doubt whether an AED should be installed, however, the choice of which one was more difficult. In that, AED Solutions helped me excellently."
How was the process from request to delivery?
Whereas STL often has to wait a long time for delivery of (technical) materials or machines, AED Solutions demonstrated how it can be done. "From the time of deciding that an AED was going to come, until it was hanging, there wasn't a week between." Ultimately, the Lifepak CR2 was chosen because it met all the requirements that were set beforehand. The sleek and clear design combined with the ability to quickly switch to pediatric mode weighed heavily. The large assortment, ample stock and quick communication from both parties ensured that delivery was quickly realized. "All in all, it ensures that I refer anyone with an AED-related question to AED Solutions." concludes Peeters.
