Stichting Burgerhart is a citizen initiative that was initiated more than five years ago by the Municipality of Sittard-Geleen and now operates as an independent foundation responsible for creating a heart-safe community in Sittard-Geleen. The municipality decided to ensure heart safety at that time, and the foundation has taken on this responsibility.
Creating a heart-safe community can be achieved through a proper distribution of civilian responders and AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) within the townships and various neighborhoods of the municipality. The first 6 minutes are crucial in a cardiac arrest situation. The sooner resuscitation is initiated and an AED is used, the greater the chances of survival and survival with minimal damage. Therefore, it is essential to have a sufficient number of civilian responders who can start the resuscitation process. Since the establishment of Stichting Burgerhart Sittard-Geleen in 2015, AED Solutions has been a project supporter, delivering over 50 AEDs and providing maintenance for each AED. AED Solutions also provided the associated training and education at that time.
The foundation has an excellent working relationship with AED Solutions. AED Solutions takes on its assigned responsibilities effectively and offers good value for money. Quality and cost considerations played a significant role in choosing an AED supplier. Additionally, AED Solutions responds promptly to inquiries and efficiently resolves any issues with an AED.
